Birth chart (kundli) generator

Your full Vedic birth chart — lagna, all nine grahas, houses and current dasha — laid out as a traditional South Indian style chart, computed on your own device.

Generate your kundli

Three fields. Computed instantly, on this device.

Why does the minute matter?
A full kundli includes the lagna and every house, and the lagna moves through all 12 signs once a day — about one sign every two hours. If you don’t know your birth time, we will still generate a chart using local solar noon, but we mark the lagna and houses as unreliable rather than presenting a guess as fact. Everything else — Moon sign, nakshatra, planet positions, dasha — is far less sensitive to the exact minute.

Only the place name is looked up, by our mapping provider. Your birth date and time never leave this device.

Your birth date, time and place are used to compute this in this browser, on your own device. Nothing you enter here is sent to a server.

Frequently asked questions

What is a kundli?
Kundli (also called a janam kundli or birth chart) is the full Vedic astrology chart cast for the moment and place of your birth: the lagna (ascendant), all nine grahas (planets and lunar nodes) placed into signs and houses, and the Vimshottari dasha sequence they set in motion.
What do I need to generate one?
Your birth date, time and place. The time matters most for the lagna and the houses, which change roughly every two hours; your Moon sign, nakshatra and dasha sequence are far less sensitive to it.
North Indian or South Indian chart style?
This generator draws a South Indian style chart, where each sign always occupies the same fixed cell and your lagna simply marks which cell is house one. A North Indian style chart instead fixes house one at the top and rotates the signs around it — the underlying planetary positions are identical either way.
Is this the same as a full reading?
No — this gives you the chart itself: real positions, houses and dasha dates. A full reading interprets what those placements tend to mean across specific areas of life, timed against your actual dasha, which is a separate step from here.
