When and where were you born?

This is the highest-stakes form in the product — it decides whether the chart is right. Take the extra ten seconds on the place field.

Why does the minute matter?

Your rising sign (lagna) changes roughly every two hours, so even a 20-minute difference can shift which sign — and which house every planet falls in — is used for your reading. If you don’t know your birth time, we’ll say so plainly: we compute a solar-noon chart and mark the lagna and house positions as unreliable in the reading itself, rather than guessing and presenting it as fact. Your Moon sign, nakshatra and planetary period (dasha) barely move within a day, so you still get real, specific value.

Only the place name is looked up, by our mapping provider. Your birth date and time never leave this device.

Your birth details are used to calculate your chart in this browser and are never sent to us. We only ever receive the finished chart — planetary positions, with nothing that identifies you.
